It’s all well and good to understand someone’s issues, or problems. It might even be nobel to see past them, however, there comes a time when you just have to say “enough is enough”, and realise that there is a difference between tolerance and simply being treated as a door mat.
If someone is adversely effecting your life, and they are making no effort to improve...

Then is there really such a thing as a minority? We are all alone. Life indiscriminately fucks with each of us, regardless of race/creed/sexuality…
